⛰️ What It's About
Meta-narrative about the author that found a manual a time machine. In the manual you can't really repair the time machine, so instead it tells you the basics to rebuild civilization.
🔍 How I Discovered It
Reading 'The Book' left a bad aftertaste. So I searched for a book with the same premise and found this one.
🧠 Thoughts
I love it, especially the alternation between the serious explanations and the jokes, both in the text and in the footnotes. Also love the meta-narrative and references to possible future events. It's and informative book but it doesn't take itself too seriously. I think it whould have benefited from more illustrations.
I wish for a book that combine the narrative of 'How To Invent Everything' with some of the illustrations from 'The Book'.
🥰 Who Would Like It?
If you are interested in the history of civilizations and how technology evolved and more in general if you are curious toward all things (and you didn't like 'The Book') then this book is for you.
